This Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy is a 60-credit qualification, which is roughly equal to one A-Level. It’s a great starting point for anyone looking to build a career in finance, bookkeeping, or general accounting within various types of organisations.

Upon successful completion, you’ll earn an OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy—fully regulated by Ofqual. From here, you’ll be eligible to progress onto a full undergraduate degree at selected UK universities.

We offer a flexible and accessible way to earn your Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy (60 credits), ideal for anyone looking to start or grow their career in the finance sector.
This fully online programme lets you start whenever you’re ready—no fixed schedules or deadlines. Each module includes approximately 40 hours of guided learning, plus 30 to 50 hours of optional content such as practice exercises, extra reading materials, digital tools, and self-assessment tasks.
To complete the diploma, you’ll submit three written assignments (each between 2,000 to 3,000 words). Once you’ve successfully passed, you’ll receive your OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy, a qualification recognised by Ofqual. This opens the door to progressing onto a bachelor’s degree at a number of UK universities.

This foundation-level diploma includes the following three modules:
- Recording Financial Transactions

- Management Information
Gain insight into cost and management accounting principles. Explore how organisations use internal data to make better decisions, and learn about the role of ICT in handling financial information.
- Maintaining Financial Records
Develop a solid understanding of why record-keeping matters. Learn the double-entry bookkeeping method and how to prepare key financial documents such as the three-column cash book and bank reconciliation statements.
